Provident Federal Credit Union was founded in 1964, as Jello-Employees Federal Credit Union to provide affordable financial services for the employees and family members of General Foods, in Dover, DE. In 1990 General Foods became Kraft General Foods, and after a corporate restructure it then became Kraft Foods. In the early 1990s the credit union was renamed “Provident Federal Credit Union”. Provident FCU currently serves approximately 1500 members.
New Online Banking Security Feature Coming Soon
All current users will be required to select new challenge questions/answers beginning on 5/14/26, and set up phone numbers that will be able to receive one-time passcodes (OTP) for each login going forward. How does the new security feature work?
When logging into online banking on your computer, you will receive a message (text or voice) on your phone with a 6-digit code. You will be asked to enter this code to complete the login process on your computer. This feature takes place of answering security questions when logging into online banking. This feature is also available in the mobile app.
